Description

Macallan - James Bond 60th Anniversary Release - Decade I - VI

Decade I portrays the 1960's. Sean Connery originated the franchise with the 1964 release of Goldfinger. Elements of these iconic films can be seen on the single malt bottle. The packaging inspired by the priorly archived film sketches including the plane from “You Only Live Twice” (1967) and the jet pack from "Thunderball" (1965).

Decade II is centred around Roger Moore’s adaptation of 007’s iconic Character. The 70s inspired green wash of colour was chosen due to its popularity within the decade. The sketches included on the limited-edition bottle depict the space shuttle featured in "Moonraker" (1979).

Decade III Timothy Dalton carried the bond franchise into the 80s with the release of "For Your Eyes Only" (1981). This limited-edition bottle features purple wash of colour and designs from the information-gathering vessel featured in the film.

Decade IV 1990's Bond appeared in the form of Pierce Brosnan with his debut in "GoldenEye" (1995). This single malt features a brown wash of colour as of its popularity in the decade. Sketches of the storyboard sequence from the 1995 release adorn the bottle and packaging.

Decade V Daniel Craig carried 007 into the nineties with the release of "Casino Royal" (2006). The bottle’s design features digitally sketched storyboarding of the roof top chase scene in "Quantum Of Solace" (2008).

Decade VI plays into both Bond and Macallan’s iconic Scottish heritage. Bonds distinctively Scottish childhood home Skyfall Lodge is featured in the bottles design "Skyfall" (2012) in patriotic blue colouring.
