North Port Brechin – First Cask (1976) 24 Year Old
Distilled on 27th December 1976 and bottled by Direct Wines for its First Cask series. The series was exclusively available to First Cask members.

North port Distillery was founded in 1820 by the Townhead Distillery Company and was called Townhead until 1823 when it became the Brechin Distillery it remained this until 1839 when the Gutheries renamed it to North Port Distillery. The Guthrie family continued to run it until 1922 when S.M.D (Scottish Malt distillers) now know as Diageo took over. The distillery closed in 1983 and was demolished in 1994 to make way for a supermarket.
