Live Auctions

Our online whisky auctions are held monthly, and we will keep registered members updated about forthcoming auctions and featured bottles. Once the auction goes live you can view the entire auction or search for specific lots using our intelligent filters.

The auction starts on a Thursday evening and typically runs for 5 days ending on a Tuesday evening after 8pm. (GMT)

You will only be able to view whisky lots when the auction is live, and we always encourage our buyers not to wait until the last second to bid as we use ‘anti-sniping’ software to ensure that everyone is treated fairly. If a bid is placed on a bottle in the last 15 minutes of the timer, the end time will be increased by 15 minutes to allow the second highest bidder to consider an increased bid. The auction timer will not end on that item until there has been a period of 15 minutes of no bidding activity.

At the end of each auction, we will publish the results of every lot under the Previous Auction section of our website.

How To Bid

When the auction goes live you should log into your personal account.

There will be a fantastic range of bottles to browse in each auction. It’s very important that you inspect each bottle and read about it’s condition before you make a bid. If you are happy to proceed then you can select the amount you want to bid from the dropdown field and our website will ask you to confirm your bid.

We use a minimum bid increment system which means that our website will tell you what the minimum bid required is next to where you place your bid. The auction software automatically bids the lowest amount for you to be the winning bidder on that auction lot.

At any time during the live auction, you can view your bids by logging in to your account.

Our Buyers commission rate is 10%

VAT Applicable to UK members fees and commission.
