Distilled, blended & bottled in Scotland by John Hopkins & Co, containing Oban distillery and named after the Isle of Mull, this blend has been around since the 1870s.
John Hopkins & Co was a Glasgow whisky merchant in the late 19th century and Old Mull likely contained Tobermory and Speyburn originally, with later editions labelled St. Magdalene or Oban. All of these distilleries were licensed to the company at one time or another.
Although it was owned by the DCL for most of the 20th century, it passed to the portfolio of Whyte & Mackay.
